Jardineando Kew Gardens

Como en Londres estamos de verano, ahora os voy a enseñar uno de los jardines mas bonitos y espectaculares de la ciudad, Kew Gardens.

We are in summer in London, so now I am going to show you one of the most incredible gardens of the city, Kew Gardens.

Es el jardín botánico de Londres (132 hectareas de jardín), está cerca de Richmond, en metro se tarda 30 minutos desde Earls Court, y es perfecto para pasar un dia de primavera.

It´s the bothanic garden (with 132 hect) and it is located close to Richmond. You can take the tube and in 30 minutes from Earls Court you will be there, and it is perfect to spend one day in spring or summer.

Os diré que no es barata la entrada, 16 pounds, pero de verdad que merece la pena. A mi no me gustan especialmente las flores y la jardinería pero me encantan los arboles milenarios que tienen por todas partes.

The ticket it is not very cheap (16 pounds), but it really deserves it. I dont like specially flowers and gardening, but the trees are amazing¡¡

Para los mas pequeños, tienen un playground (climbers and creeppers) con columpios fuera que está genial, y otro interior que pueden jugar con flores gigantes y naturaleza para niños.

For children, they have a Playground (climbers and creppers) with slides and also an indoor flower playground, where you have to remove your shoes to enjoy it.

Otro imprescindible del paseo es el paseo que hay por las copas de los árboles, Xstrata Treetop Walkway, una pasarela a 18 metros de altura con unas vistas increíbles.

Another essential you can not miss is the walk on the top of the trees, Xstrata Treetop, with a circular walkway at 18m with incredible views.

Por supuesto hay varios invernaderos, con plantas tropicales, están en los antiguos palacios dentro del jardín.

There are several botanical glasshouses with tropical plants inside the Palaces. Incredible the amount of different plants there are.

También está el Jardín Japonés, que es bonito pero no impresionante, con su pagoda y sus plantas perfectamente ordenadas.

There is also a Japanese Garden, it is beautiful but in my opinion nothing special.

Consejo si os gusta tiraros en la manta, llevarse los sandwiches de casa, o comprarlos en Kew antes de entrar en el parque (la calle que sale del metro dirección al parque hay un superemercado y tiendas pequeñitas con bocadillos para llevar).

My advise, if you like to do picnics I think it is better to take home made sandwiches or at least buy it in Kew before getting inside the park, (in the street after the tube you can find a supermarket and shops with sandwiches to take away) because the food inside is not very good.
